MF: My favorite memories of Frenchmen are from the ‘90s, around ’94. Café Brasil was open late at night, and maybe Café Istanbul. The street was full of local people coming and going. We had a lot of them coming in Cafe Rose late, because we were open til midnight back then. The musicians would come in between sets… Just a really sweet vibe on Frenchmen street. Very laid back. A lot of just walking up and down the street, visiting with your friends, and hanging out.
